And gosh, why some people should still ask. Perhaps they are a lot more fortunate than most of us. Or perhaps they are warped back in time to an old country town sometimes also referred to as your one horse town. Or should that be your one truck town with a desolated gasoline pump collecting rust and dust. Perhaps you will appreciate this if you are living in a congested urban environment or are not averse to exciting community events that usually draw large crowds.
Perhaps then, you too could spill a word or two in to their ears on just why use of crowd control barricades are just so important today. For one thing, this much must be taken into account, and the matter must be given a lot of serious thought by all stakeholders placed in positions of responsibility or appointed by privilege or reward to organize big ticket events that are destined or projected to draw large crowds.
Because the larger the crowd gathering, the better the chances that there will be risks. A crowd of over a thousand can still be susceptible to bone-crushing or body stomping, all by accident, of course. But the bigger draw cards where potentially injurious risks are concerned are those politically inspired rallies that do tend to draw large crowds, particularly if a socially impacting event has been in the public eye or media for some time.
Crowd control barricades are ideal for so-called temporary events. Sporting events can be organized in appropriately constructed stadiums, but today’s extreme sports alternatives, most of them anyway, still have no place to call home. These temporary erections, therefore, are designed to keep the crowds back while the extreme sportsmen and women get on with their pursuits.
